I previously provided your government with copies of the videos, but in keeping with their policies - information is not shared.
It is impossible for people to attend all the meetings, and the miniscule information provided in the minutes and the Landowners Update are inadequate.

In keeping with my beliefs - I want all of us to know what's going on. Only videos regarding The Union Bay Improvement District will be posted. More videos will be added to keep information current.

Misappropriation

It is a felony, a crime punishable by a prison sentence.

Union Bay Improvement District - Voting for Individuals Who Didn't Have the Authority to Represent Us?

As a community we have been ignorant of the workings of our local governments.  We have been sheep blindly following along relinquishing our authority to those who we elect to represent us.  
For those who believed the individuals they elected were running the Improvement District on their behalf, think again.  It turns out, the Trustees were not the higher authority in the Improvement District.

The following is an excerpt from a letter received by a Trustee after he sought legal help and advice from anyone who would step in and put and end to the actions beginning in 2010, which appeared in violation of the laws in place.  Remember, only 3 Trustees had a lawyer representing them paid for by the taxpayers, the remaining 2 Trustees were on their own and were prevented from obtaining any information from UBID staff,  including the law firm representing the Improvement District.  



  • What is the point of a Board if the Administrator has more authority?  
  • When did this authority transfer from the Board?
  • Why was this authority granted?
  • Why wasn't the community advised we were voting for individuals who didn't have the authority to represent us? 
  • What has been going on all these years?
  • Why don't we have any money?
  • It's fine to say 'let's move on' but the community deserves to know what happened, why it happened, what's being done to ensure it doesn't happen again, AND consequences for those who violated our trust.  Otherwise, put out a sign declaring a free for all if you get a job or are voted in.
  • We want Accountability.
